ACMA Apparatus Licensing

Get your radio system licensed properly

We are an ACMA accredited person for frequency assignment. Tell us about your system and we will coordinate a clear frequency, prepare the paperwork, and lodge the apparatus licence application with the ACMA on your behalf.

ACMA accredited person We coordinate and lodge for you No payment to submit a request

A simple three step process

1

Coordinate the frequency

We check the ACMA radiocommunications register around your site and identify a clear channel that meets the interference and coordination requirements for your service.

2

Prepare and lodge

As your accredited person we complete the frequency assignment and lodge the apparatus licence application with the ACMA, along with any licensee or site registration you need.

3

Licence issued

The ACMA issues your apparatus licence. We keep you informed at each step and send you everything you need for your records.

Spectrum management for your licence portfolio

Already holding apparatus licences? We look after the portfolio for you. noIM3 is recorded as your nominated contact with the ACMA, tracks every expiry and change across your sites, and does the accredited person work when an assignment has to move. You keep the licences. We keep them current.

Renewal and expiry tracking

We hold the expiry date for every licence you own and act well ahead of it, so nothing is left to a reminder letter arriving at an address someone left years ago.

Your nominated ACMA contact

We go on your client record as the contact and handle the correspondence, so ACMA notices land with someone who knows what they mean and what has to happen next.

Variations and reassignments

Site relocated, antenna raised, radios swapped, power changed? That is assignment work, not paperwork. We coordinate it as your accredited person and lodge the variation.

Annual portfolio review

We check what you hold against what you actually operate, and flag the licences still being paid for on equipment that came off site years ago.

Renewing is cheap. Missing a renewal is not. A renewal on time is an administrative action with no frequency assignment work behind it, and the ACMA charge is a few dollars per spectrum access. Let a licence lapse and the assignment goes back to the register, so recovering it means a fresh coordination, accredited person work and the full issue fee, assuming the channel is even still clear. Watching those dates is the whole job, and it is the one that is easiest to lose inside a business.

Talk to us about your portfolio

Send us your ACMA client numbers and we will check them against the register before quoting.

Common questions

Do I need an ACMA client number first?

No. If you are a new or unknown ACMA client, choose the New Licensee service and we will set that up as part of your application.

What does a licence application cost?

Submitting a request is free. We review it and reply with a fixed quote that covers our coordination and lodgement work before anything is charged. ACMA fees are separate and payable to the ACMA.

Which systems can you licence?

Fixed point-to-point links, point-to-area land mobile and base station systems, repeaters, and wide area services. If you are not sure which form fits, or you do not have the technical detail yet, talk to us and we will work it out with you.

What happens after I submit?

Your request comes straight to us. We review the details, coordinate the frequency, and reply to you with a quote and next steps. Have a general question instead? Visit our contact page.

What does spectrum management cost?

It is quoted on the size and shape of your portfolio rather than by the hour. Send us your ACMA client numbers, we will check what you hold against the register, and we will come back with a fixed annual figure. ACMA licence and renewal charges stay separate and payable to the ACMA.

What does being your nominated ACMA contact change?

You stay the licensee. It means ACMA correspondence about your licences reaches us as well, so renewal notices and register queries land with someone who acts on them. You can start with part of the portfolio and add the rest later, and you can have us removed from your client record whenever you want.
